This sermon addresses a sensitive and often misunderstood topic by returning to Scripture as our final authority. In a culture that increasingly reshapes God’s design according to human agendas, we are reminded that God’s Word is breathed out by Him, authoritative, and sufficient to guide our understanding of life, faith, and relationships.
Beginning in Genesis 1–2, we see God’s original design for men and women: both created in His image, equal in value and dignity, yet intentionally different in role. God’s design is not rooted in superiority or inferiority, but in order, harmony, and purpose—reflecting even something of God’s own nature.
The sermon then turns to Genesis 3 to examine how sin distorted this good design. Rather than living in joyful dependence on God’s order, the Fall introduced role confusion, power struggles, and relational tension. These distortions continue to shape the challenges we face today.
Finally, we are pointed to the hope of the gospel. In the midst of judgment, God promised redemption. Through Christ, sinners are freed from the bondage of sin and restored to walk in God’s good purposes, learning again what it means to live in obedience, humility, and grace.
